HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – An Ohio man who is charged with murder in Hillsdale County was sentenced on Monday in an unrelated case.
41-year-old Jay Scott Clark of Bryan, Ohio was ordered to serve between 22 months and 20 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections after he was convicted by a Hillsdale County Circuit Court jury in September of carrying a concealed weapon and possession of methamphetamine.
A trial date for Clark in connection with the death of 37-year-old Jeremy Alan Barron of Camden has not been scheduled yet.
Authorities say Barron was shot to death somewhere in Hillsdale County on February 8, 2017.
His body was placed in a field off of Dimmers Road in Camden Township before it was discovered by some Amish children riding their horses on April 2, 2017.
