UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Union City Village Office and Police Department will begin operations at their new location Monday morning.
They will be operating out of the Ivan Boynton Municipal Office Building at 101 South Broadway.
The south entrance to the building will be for village business while those needing the police are asked to use the north entrance.
The Village Office and the Police Department had been at 208 North Broadway since 1964.
A posting on the village’s Facebook page said they paid $13,700 to Whiting’s Drug Store for the space 53 years ago. The old office closed for good this past Wednesday. The following two days were spent getting things ready at the new office
An open house and ribbon cutting ceremony at the new office space will be held sometime in November.
