Floyd C. Dickens, 92, of Quincy passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at The Laurels of Coldwater.
There will be no services or calling hours at this time.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
He was born July 27, 1933 in Adrian, MI to Floyd A. and Eleanor (Smith) Dickens.
Floyd served his country in the United States Army during the Cold War and was also a member of the Merchant Marines, serving in the Great Lakes during the construction of the Mackinaw Bridge. Floyd held many positions, including 27 years in Mercy hospital in Toledo, Ohio and retired after.
He had a huge heart and was always the first to lend a hand to anyone in need. Floyd lived by the words, “the truth will set you free,” and carried that belief into everything he did.
Survivors include his daughter, Florence Dickens of Idaho; son, Todd Dickens of Quincy; nephew, Michael Easter of Adrian, MI; and special friends and caregivers, David and Sylvia Smalley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Patricia.
