Dewey Ray Harman, 74, of Bronson passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 10, 2026 at his home.
In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and the family will host a celebration of Dewey’s life at a later date.
The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
Dewey was born November 10, 1951, in Coldwater, Michigan to Clifford H. and Dorothy (Bruner) Harman. He graduated from Coldwater High School with the Class of 1971.
He was proud of his children. Dewey had a love of hunting and fishing, often going with his brother Jerry, who he referred to as “not only is he my baby brother but he is my best friend.” He was also a fan of Detroit Tiger baseball, Detroit Lions, and U of M football. He had fun sharing little rivalries between family members versus opposing teams.
He loved the sport of wrestling and would often support his nephews mat side.
Dewey is survived by his daughter, Serenity (Jeff) Miller of Brookings, SD; his three sons, Nathan Harman of Osseo, Travis (Cassie) Harman of Coldwater, and Jordan Harman of Battle Creek; his four grandchildren; his two sisters, Nancy Kay (Doyle) Kirnbrell of Iron City, TN, and Sally (Harman) Parshall of Coldwater; his brother Jerry (Erin) Harman of Hillsdale; and his several nieces and nephews.
Dewey was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Peggy (1999); and his brother Billy (2023).
