Lucille R. Langwell, 85, of Union City passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026 at The Laurels of Coldwater.
A service will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater, officiated by Pastor Bob Ward.
A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home. Interment will take place following service at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Lucille was born January 12, 1941 to Olly Allsbrooks and Alice Nivison in Coldwater, MI. She was lovingly raised by her mother and stepfather, Theron Nivision.
She married William D. Langwell January 6, 1959.
Lucille worked for many years as a secretary at Southern Michigan Bank. She later retired from Great Plains Gas Company in 2003, concluding a faithful career marked by service and commitment.
Lucille found joy in the simple and beautiful things. She loved sewing, tending to her garden, and surrounding herself with flowers, and collecting beautiful stones; hobbies that reflected her patience, creativity, and appreciation for nature. She also formerly attended First Baptist Church in Coldwater, where her faith and fellowship were important parts of her life.
Lucille is survived by her husband, William Langwell; her children Rodney (JoEllen) Langwell of Detroit, Lisa (Jody) Koenemann of Nashville, TN, and Kevin (Sherry) Langwell of Coldwater; her siblings Karl (Marsha) Nivison and Mary Nivison; her grandchildren Jordan, Jennifer, Stephanie (Avery), Heather, Dylan, Brian and Jaime; her great grandchildren Faye, Milo, Bethany, Lillian, and Zaden; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
