Geraldine Kimbel, 78, of Coldwater passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2026 surrounded by her family at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, MI.
In keeping with Geraldine’s wishes, she will be cremated and no formal services will be held.
The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
Geraldine was born October 2, 1947, to Raymond and Helen (Reider) Hoyer in Detroit, Michigan. She owned and operated the janitorial company, JP Janitorial, for over 20 years.
Geraldine enjoyed going to zoos, going to the movies and watching her favorites (thrillers and action movies), and she loved Coca-Cola. She was known to be a night owl.
Geraldine is survived by her husband, Robert; her children, Marti Weis of Coldwater, Melissa Maschino of Quincy, Jessica Lytle of Coldwater, Michael Lytle of Dallas, TX, Colette Kimbel of Coldwater, and Cody Kimbel of Coldwater; and many grandchildren.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Joan Hoyer; her siblings, Irene Garland, John Hoyer, Richard Hoyer, Raymond Hoyer, and Doris Hoyer.
