BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings improved to 7-6 overall and 5-5 in the Big 8 Conference as they escaped with a 50-47 victory over winless Springport.
The Vikings trailed 25-21 at halftime but took control in the third quarter when they outscored the Spartans 16-8.
Bronson overcame 29 percent shooting and 17 turnovers to get the win.
Mason Harris led the Vikings with 13 points and four assists. Aden Hathaway added 11 points. Noah Houtz grabbed 10 rebounds.

The Reading Rangers used a 20-11 fourth quarter on Monday as they broke open a close game to defeat the Quincy Orioles 64-56.
Quincy had a 45-44 lead heading into the final quarter. The Rangers avenged last week’s 63-41 loss against the Orioles.
Kyler Economou led the Orioles with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Kyle Rodesiler had 16 points, six assists and four rebounds.
Quincy is now 5-7 overall and 4-6 in the Big Eight.
Also in the Big Eight, Union City lost at Jonesville 64-36. The win for the Comets kept them in a first place tie with Homer. Both teams are 10-1 in the Big Eight Conference.
