BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The latest data from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services shows the number of positive COVID-19 cases in Branch County has almost doubled in the past week.
There were 174 new cases reported between April 11 and 17 compared to 96 that were reported between April 4 and 10. That represents an increase of 81 percent.
The positivity rate for tests administered in Branch County between April 10 and 16 came out to 20 percent.
Branch County is one of the 24 counties in the state where the positivity rate is at least 20 percent.
The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency has scheduled COVID-19 vaccination clinics for Wednesday at the Dearth Community Center in Coldwater, for Thursday at White Pigeon High School and on Friday at the Hillsdale ISD Parke Hayes Building in Hillsdale.
