Ronald was born May 9, 1943 in Dearborn, MI to James and Mildred “Elizabeth” (Bright) Langley. He married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Haefner, August 21, 1966 in Litchfield. She preceded him in death February 16, 2021.
Ronald graduated from the University of Michigan where he earned his Doctorate in Pharmacy in 1969. He took great pride in being a Registered Pharmacist for more than 45 years. He especially loved working in small town pharmacies where he could be part of the local community and get to know his customers on a personal level.
He and his wife had been faithful members of the Coldwater Church of Christ for nearly 50 years. He was passionate about studying the bible and actively participating in church services while also acting as an Elder for a period of time. He was an avid reader who was enthusiastic about rare and antique books.
In his early life, he enjoyed living on the family’s farm and playing outside in the woods. He played football and baseball, while attending Litchfield High School, where he pitched a no-hitter. He spoke fondly of those days throughout his life, especially when remembering his late mother. He shared his love of nature and many of those childhood stories with his own kids and grandkids.
Ronald is survived by his children: Christina (John) Freds of Oxford, MI; Kelli (Stewart) Raley of Phoenix, AZ; Kimberley (Bradley) Nichols of Coldwater, MI; Ryan (Rachael) Langley of Holt, MI; Cory (Sarah) Langley of Marseilles, IL; his grandchildren, Keaton, Taylor, Elizabeth, Viviene, Marc, Tyler, Andrew, Abigail, Alivia, Blane, and Colin; and his great grandchildren, Shire and Bane.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, James W. Langley, Marjorie LaPointe and Marian Dingee.
