INGHAM COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Stephanie Chatfield, the wife of former state House Speaker Lee Chatfield, has agreed to a plea deal in their embezzlement case.
She has pled guilty to one charge of embezzlement between $200 and $1,000 and the state dropped two charges of embezzling between $1,000 and $20,000.
Stephanie is accused of using $132,000 from the Peninsula Fund to pay off credit card debt and she will be sentenced July 20th.
Lee Chatfield is still facing 13 charges, including a 20-year felony of conducting a criminal enterprise.
