COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency is encouraging area residents to request a free rapid test kit from Project ACT sponsored by The Rockefeller Foundation and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
One box of five rapid testing kits will be delivered per address. Kits will be delivered to P.O boxes. If you live in an apartment, you’re asked to enter the apartment number.
The requested test kit is delivered to your address by Amazon. There is a limit of 1 request per address.
To request your test kit, go to www.accesscovidtests.org and enter your zip code.
Health Officer Rebecca Burns says, “We encourage residents to request free at home test kits. Those living outside of the listed zip codes can go to www.covidtests.gov. Additionally, limited supplies of adult KN95 masks are available at our agency’s offices and many local pharmacies. Children can be protected with a child’s size surgical mask covered with a multi-layered cloth mask.”
The Community Health Agency continues to offer free curbside testing, in partnership with HONU, at all their locations.
They are available at the Coldwater office on Thursdays, in Hillsdale on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and in Three Rivers on Fridays. All clinics are open 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Appointments for vaccination at the Health Agency can be made at www.bhsj.org/scheduling
